Compliances in January 2026

  • January 15, 2026Annual Return (Factories Act) and 4 other events

    By 15th January, employers under the Factories Act, 1948 must submit the prescribed annual return form to the Chief Inspector or Director.

    By the 15th of every month, employers must remit Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) contributions under the EPF & MP Act, 1952 using the online challan through authorized banks, such as SBI.

    By the 15th of every month, the employer must submit Form 5 and Form 2 (IW-1) for international workers to the concerned regional EPF office

    Within 15 days of commencement or completion of work, a contractor must submit Form VI-A under the same Act to the appropriate Inspector.

    Within 15 days of commencement or completion of work, a principal employer must submit a notice in Form VI-B under the Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act, 1970

  • January 21, 2026Annual Return (Maternity Benefit Act) and 1 other event

    By 21st January, annual returns and payment details under the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961 must be submitted using Forms L, M, N, and O.

    By the 21st of every month, remittance of Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) contributions under the ESI Act, 1948 must be made using the online challan through authorized banks.

  • January 30, 2026Half Yly Return in Form XXIV (CLRA Act)

    By 30th January, contractors must file a half-yearly return using Form XXIV under the Contract Labour Act.

  • January 31, 2026Form 01A (ESI Act)

    By 31st January, factories and establishments covered under the ESI Act must submit annual information in Form 01A.
