Objective

  • To generate over 3.5 crore new jobs within 2 years

  • Total budget allocation: ₹99,446 crore

  • Structured as an Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme

Scheme Components

Part A – Support to First-Time Employees

  • For employees earning up to ₹1 lakh/year and contributing to EPF

  • Incentive: One month EPF wage up to ₹15,000 in two installments

    • 1st installment after 6 months of service

    • 2nd installment after 12 months

Part B – Incentives for Employers

  • Targeted at generating additional employment

  • Focus on manufacturing sector and sustained job creation

  • Incentive: Up to ₹3,000/month for each additional employee

    • Paid for 24 months, after 6 months of sustained employment

Disbursement Mechanism

  • Part A: Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) via Aadhaar Bridge Payment System (ABPS)

  • Part B: Payments to employer’s PAN-linked bank account
