Key Amendments

1. Amendment to Rule 251(2)

  • Term of Office: Chairperson and non-official members of the BOCW Welfare Board shall hold office for 3 years from appointment.

  • They may continue until successors are appointed.

  • The State Government retains the authority to remove appointed Chairperson or members at any time.

2. Addition of Sub-rule 259(5)

  • Specifies entitlements for the Chairman of HP BOCW Welfare Board:

    • Headquarters will be where the Board is located.

    • Pay and allowances: equivalent to a Secretary to the Government of Himachal Pradesh.

    • TA/DA and facilities: as applicable to a Government Secretary.

    • Controlling Officer for these benefits will be the Minister of Labour Employment & Overseas Placement, Himachal Pradesh.
