Government of Assam notification dated 23 June 2025 regarding revised VDA (Variable Dearness Allowance) rates:

Purpose: To revise the VDA payable to workers engaged in loading and unloading of urea bags in Assam, based on a 75% increase linked to the All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (CPI Base 2016=100).

Existing VDA: ₹5.728
Revised VDA: ₹0.33
Total revised wage: ₹21.80
Carrying stitched and weighed bags directly to trucks/wagons (within 10 meters):
Existing VDA: ₹12.274
Revised VDA: ₹0.66
Total revised wage: ₹44.43
Carrying stitched bags, stacking on platform, then loading into trucks/wagons (mechanized point):
Existing VDA: ₹15.472
Revised VDA: ₹0.77
Total revised wage: ₹52.74
These rates supersede earlier rates notified on 6 March 2025 under Notification No. E-273060/518.
